Granite

Granite is a natural stone that is mined and turned into slabs or tiles and polished for installation. Depending on where the stone was mined form granite colors can range from subdued earth tones to slightly more vivid blues, greens and reds. Granite is resistant to heat so it is great for kitchens!

Marble

Marble countertops are well made and structurally sound but are less forgiving than granite or quartz. Marble is the most porous of the three and especially sensitive to acid and chemical cleaners.

Quartz

Quartz counters are made from crushed quartz. Pigments are then added for coloration and resin is used to bind everything together. Quartz is a non-porous stone, so it is more stain resistant and more hygienic than granite.
